Our Boats

Jeff runs a 24' Speedcraft deep V center console with a bracketed 300HP Suzuki 4stroke.  The boat is loaded with the latest electronics  and safety equipment to get you to the fishing grounds quickly, safely and comfortably.  It has a new fiberglass hardtop and full curtains to duck into when the weather gets ugly.  It has a fully array of safety equipment, recessed cleats and hardware.  Our customers routinely comment on how nice a ride this boat gives.  The boat is loaded with the latest high end gear from Shimano, Penn,  Scott, Sage, Van Staal, Tibor, etc.   You are more than welcome to bring your own gear if you would like.

You will spend your day on the water fishing from a Jones Brothers 1910 Lite Tackle edition center console. This 20ft vessel is without question one of the top choices of guides and serious anglers on the east coast for a number of reasons. For those of you not familiar with this beautifully designed craft, it's the perfect boat for poling in skinny water and sightcasting, or running dry in the big chop we can encounter here in the northeast. The boat is specifically laid out with fly fishing in mind. It features raised front and rear casting platforms, all recessed hardware, lots of cooler and live well space, and ample seating. We carry on board the latest in safety gear above and beyond what the coarst guard requires, as well as outstanding electronics with hand held backups.

You are always welcome to bring your own gear, as most anglers are most comfortable with gear they are used to. However, we carry rods and reels are from Orvis, Sage, Tibor, Albright, St. Croix, Van Staal, Quatum, and Penn etc. Fly line choices can make all the difference between a productive or non-productive day. I would advise clients to have a full intermediate sink, and have at least 350 grain sink tip line with an intermediate running line. Flies especially designed for this fishery can be provided, however, I certainly encourage clients to experiment wtith flies of their own design, or use "bugs" that have proven productive for them in the past.
