Your Online Guide to the Best Saltwater Flyfishing & Light Tackle on Cape Cod, MA.

The Skinny

It is no secret that Cape Cod is a world class destination fishery.  The flats of Cape Cod Bay offer some of the finest site casting on the northeast coast.  We have over 50 years of combined experience with many of those years as professional guides.  This gives you the advantage to spend your day with captains who have a reputation of finding fish when the fishing gets tough.  Not everyday provides perfect site casting conditions.  It's situations like these where we have no problem changing zip codes in order to find cooperative fish.

Our focus is on sharing knowledge and having fun.  If your new to this fishery and need instruction then we will focus on that.  If your an experienced angler who is looking for trophy fish in shallow water or hooking a bluefin on the fly then we will bust our butts to try and make it happen.  Relaxing time with friends, family or spouse?  No problem.

Teaching, sharing helpful hints, being patient, and assessing an individual's abilities, to us are some of the most important components of being a quality guide.

Our season runs from mid May to the end of October.  The end of May can see some high caliber striped bass chasing squid or large baitfish.  Big flies on floating lines are the norm this time of year.  As we roll into June and more and more fish become established, it is then we start having quality flats fishing.  Fish are generally hungry.  Flats fishing can be productive for stripers and blues clear into the middle of July until the flats warm up.  When this happens we start fishing the rips on the outer cape with sinking lines.   Cooler water can be found on the backside of the Cape and we have had phenomenal top water action all season long...We are blessed to live in an area with very diversified structure and current flow.  What this all equates too is that when one type of fishing dries up or slows down we need only move a short distance to find cooperative fish.

As July winds down, we generally start seeing sporadic bluefin tuna activity and always keep a 14wt and heavy spinner on board.  As we move into August the focus starts to shift from bass to tuna for most anglers.  Catching one of these mighty fish on the flyrod is an experience of a lifetime.  Our boats are perfect for the pursuit of these fish with the fly or light tackle.

Catch & Release

We promote and encourage "Catch and Release" fishing for the preservation of our fisheries. Future generations deserve the same bounty we have enjoyed.

Expertise

In a nutshell we are "flyfishing junkies!" We live and breathe this sport on a daily basis.  During the offseason we discuss and work on new patterns, travel to shows, produce slideshows, articles and host fly tying classes.

Fun for All

Women and children are encouraged to come along and participate and have a tendency to outfish everybody else onboard..

One of the added benefits of fishing where we do on the outer cape is that you will generally see a lot of marine life besides just the fish you are after.  Humpbacks, dolphins, basking sharks and Mola Mola's are routinely spotted and observed on our trips.
